Hi… I came across this photo – Gerry O’Neil is my father and I’m happy to say he is still as sharp as a whip and still re-telling “Helicopter” stories whenever we ask him. (which is often, he has so many good ones!)

I remember visiting this barn when he worked there, I’m happy to say the “old barn” still stands! Do you know who took this photo?

My dad still recounts the amazing “helicopter days” stories… he doesn’t miss a beat with names, places and dates. He also has quite the collection of helicopter photos during that period. If you want more info or pick his brain he would love that, you can get in touch with him via me. In fact, as I was going through this site I had him on the phone with me and while reading some of your entries and describing to him the pictures, he was filling in the rest of the story.
